So for our recent Halloween party, I made a big fat bowl of boozy punch called BLUE GOO that Liane (accidentally) helped me name. It was based off of an original recipe for a children’s punch called Blue Slime Sipper but I was like fuck that noise and added a bunch of booze to it.

I substituted two of the cold cups of water required to set the jello with two cups of vodka, making the floaty jello bits pretty dang boozy. Then, once the Jello was set and I was mixing the chunks into the rest of the ingredients, I added more vodka into the lemonade and sprite. The result was absolutely delicious, and all of the sugar and citrus flavors did an amazing job at blocking out the taste of the alcohol.

The best part, I think, is that the liquid aspect of the drink gets you drunk quickly, the way hard alcohol normally does, but then the alcohol in the jello chunks is absorbed more slowly into your blood stream, thus maintaining the drunkness. Also it was fucking delicious.

Basically, I am going to continue to make this when my friends and I have drinks and watch stupid TV shows, except I’m going to experiment with different Jello flavors each time. I actually used sprite zero and lite lemonade, which kept the sugar content way down from what it normally would have been. In the future I will also be using sugar free jello, turning this amazing punch into something you actually don’t need to feel guilty about, carb-wise. WOO!!!

This stuff was REALLY GOOD and got me drunk while not tasting strong at all. Would highly recommend, and it’s going to be fun to experiment with mixers and find other delicious fruity combinations

Tasted pretty strong to me, but I really dislike alcohol taste and could probably taste a drop of booze in a smoothie.
